1. Agreement

These Terms of Service apply when you access or use The Job Sort, including its website, account features, résumé tools, and paid services. By creating an account, signing in, or using the service, you agree to these terms and acknowledge the Privacy Notice.

If you use the service for another person or organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind them to these terms.

2. Service provider

The Job Sort is a service of OU Group Pty Ltd, an Australian proprietary limited company. References to “we”, “us”, and “our” mean OU Group Pty Ltd.

Australian Business Number 59 683 269 963. Australian Company Number 683 269 963. Registered for Goods and Services Tax. Registered office 81-83 Campbell Street, Surry Hills NSW 2010, Australia.

3. Accounts and eligibility

During the controlled beta, you must be at least 18 and located in Australia.

You must provide accurate account information, protect access to your email and account, and tell us promptly about unauthorized use.

4. What the service does

The Job Sort helps you organize career information, review evidence, analyze job descriptions, and prepare résumé material. It may use artificial intelligence to extract, analyze, or draft content.

The service does not guarantee employment, interviews, applicant tracking results, or acceptance by any employer. It does not provide legal, immigration, recruitment, or financial advice.

5. Your responsibility

You must review each output before you use or share it. You remain responsible for the accuracy, lawfulness, and suitability of your résumé and application material.

You must not present generated or edited content as true when you cannot support it.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you upload, enter, approve, or create through the service.

You give us a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, copy, process, and format that content only as needed to provide, secure, and support the service. This permission ends when the content is deleted, subject to backups and legal retention duties.

You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to provide the content. Do not upload another person's private information without authority.

7. Acceptable use

You must not use the service to:

  • break a law or infringe another person's rights;
  • create deceptive credentials, employment claims, or identity information;
  • upload malicious code or attempt unauthorized access;
  • probe, disrupt, overload, scrape, or reverse engineer the service except where law permits it;
  • resell or automate access without our written permission; or
  • use the service in a way that harms another person or the service.

8. Payments and refunds

A new public account may receive one First Application without payment. It includes one successful résumé import and Build draft, one successful job analysis, one successful cover letter, and one saved base résumé. Failed service attempts and automatic retries do not use this allowance. Saved work and available downloads remain accessible after the allowance ends.

Prices, currency, included use, and limits appear before purchase. Payments are processed by Stripe. A Resume Build Pass is a one-time purchase. It is not a subscription and does not renew automatically.

One Resume Build Pass applies to one base résumé profile, target role, and target country. The 30-day build window starts with the first included Merv action. It includes up to 50 successful Merv-assisted résumé imports, reviews, tailored résumés, job analyses, and cover letters. Manual edits, saves, downloads, failed tasks, and automatic retries do not use an action. Saved résumé revisions do not have a separate product allowance.

When the build window or included use ends, you cannot create new work under that pass. Saved résumé revisions already linked to the pass and their available exports remain accessible. A full refund revokes unused Build Pass access. Saved outputs created before the refund remain available, subject to law, fraud prevention, account security, and these terms.

Refunds and remedies are provided when required by law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies rights or consumer guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

You can request a refund beside the completed purchase on the Billing page. The request attaches the correct account and order for review. You can also contact info@thejobsort.com if you cannot access your account.

9. Our property

We and our licensors own the service, software, branding, design, and related materials. Subject to these terms, we give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, and non-transferable right to access and use the service through a supported web browser for your own career documents.

All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved. These terms do not transfer our intellectual property or any third-party technology to you.

10. Availability and changes

We may maintain, change, or discontinue parts of the service. We will give reasonable notice when a material change would adversely affect paid access, where practicable.

We may update these terms. We will post the revised terms and update the date above. We will provide notice before material changes take effect when required.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account through the account privacy controls. We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably needed to protect users, enforce these terms, prevent harm, or comply with law.

12. Intellectual property complaints

You must not upload or use content that infringes another person's intellectual property rights. If you believe the service or a user's use of it infringes your rights, email info@thejobsort.com. Include your contact details, a description of the protected material, enough information for us to identify the disputed content or account, and an explanation of why you believe the use is unauthorized.

We may request more information, notify the affected user when appropriate, and restrict or remove content while we review a credible complaint. We may restrict or terminate accounts used for serious or repeated infringement. We will consider the circumstances of each matter before taking action.

This is a voluntary complaints process. It is not a formal notice-and-takedown procedure under the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

13. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss caused by use of the service, reliance on unreviewed output, or third-party services. This section does not limit liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be limited.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts and courts hearing appeals from them. Mandatory consumer protections in your location continue to apply.

15. Contact

Send questions about these terms to info@thejobsort.com. The provider's main business location is 81-83 Campbell Street, Surry Hills NSW 2010, Australia.
